Vision
The purpose of Unlocked, the middle school youth ministry at The Door Christian Fellowship, is to nurture each middle school student’s confidence as a follower of Jesus. Following Jesus confidently is spiritual, relational, emotional, physical, and intellectual. This is a season of life when entering adolescence creates uncertainty. Our desire is to foster middle school students’ confidence as followers of Jesus in all of these areas of life.
Unlocked – Run. Free.
This reflects our purpose and vision for each student. Psalm 119:32 says, “I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” This verse expresses what it feels like to have our hearts unlocked by God. It also describes how to remain free, by obeying God’s commands. As our lives are unlocked, we will confidently run free as followers of Jesus Christ.
We are seeing this happen in middle school students’ lives. From their testimonies at the end of each year to witnessing their ongoing growth in the High School youth group, Unlocked is bringing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students together and giving them a space where they can grow in confidence as followers of Jesus Christ!
