Children's Ministry
Children's Ministry is about making a difference that lasts a lifetime.
WHY
It's important to us at The Door to creatively engage children's development in four areas that were keys to Jesus' development as a child and his future ministry. "So Jesus grew both in height (physical) and in wisdom (intellectually), and he was loved by God (spiritual) and by all who knew him (relational)." (Luke 2:52; NLT)
WHAT
The Door's Children's ministry creatively prepares and encourages children to live vibrant lives physically, intellectually, spiritually, and relationally now, and for the future.
HOW
- God's Word: God's Word is the foundation for our lives. We help children build their lives on God's foundation by understanding and obeying God's Word.
- God's Spirit: God guides our lives in an active way through the Holy Spirit. We help children look to God for truth and guidance.
- God's Kingdom: God is telling an epic story and we can be a part of it today. We help children understand how they can live in god's story as followers of Jesus Christ.
CLASSES
- Nest: infant class (birth-24 months)
- Explore: toddler class (2 & 3 years old)
- Discover: preschool class (4 years old - start of K)
- Launch: elementary school grades K-5
